After finishing my visit to Kirishima Jingu, I walked back down to the rotary. When I checked Google Maps, I noticed several restaurants nearby. There was still some time before the next bus to Kirishima Jingu Station,so I decided it would be a good idea to use that time for lunch. Around the rotary, I could see a soba restaurant and a yakiniku place. For lunch, soba sounded lighter and more reasonable. This trip wasn’t meant to be for sightseeing, but there was one place I really wanted to visit — Kirishima Jingu. It’s not easy to reach by public transport. There is Kirishima Jingu Station nearby, but buses run very infrequently, and the last one leaves quite early. Before my Korean Air mileage expires, I decided to use it up. And since I wanted to spend my birthday somewhere other than home,I booked a flight to Kagoshima. The destination is Kagoshima —my hottest travel spot these days. It’s a place full of fresh seafood,and everything from beef to pork to chicken tastes amazing.
